The origins of Ferrer took place in the year 1964 in Sant Llorenç de Morunys, with the production and sale of a line of natural preserved products, highly valued by cuisine lovers, such as mushrooms and truffles are. The increment of the activity and space needs in order to achieve a production level able to satisfy the requests of the moment, first forced the movement of the company’s premises to Santpedor, where the current premises where opened in 1986 and, a year later, a second production plant was opened in Extremadura. The great acceptation of this first family opened the door to the making of new varieties and the sauces were launched in the year 1995. A short time later, the first specialties of preserved vegetables were launched. By having now suitable installations with enough space for a sustained and continuous growth, Conserves Ferrer has progressively introduced other families of natural products, made, whenever possible, following traditional methods and without colouring agents or preservatives, such as fish and seafood preserves and, since 2005, creams, vinegar, spices and oils that, in all cases, maintain the quality and traditional processing systems guaranteed by Conservas Ferrer in all and each of the products it offers to the market.
