Calçot (Scallion) Tempura

10 Scallions
Tempura flour
Cold water
Olive Oil
1 jar of Calçots Sauce Ferrer

Preparation step by step

Peel and thoroughly clean the scallions.

Cook the scallions in the microwave following the manufacturer’s recommended cooking time for vegetables. Set aside.

Mix the tempura flour and cold water in a bowl.

Heat some olive oil in a pan.

Coat the scallions with the flour mix and fry in the pan until the flour turns golden.

Serve with Salsa Calçots to dip in.
