“Xató” is a type of salad which main ingredients are escarole, anchovies, cod and desalted tuna and arbequina olives. Its SAUCE is the greatest secret of this dish which main ingredients are: almonds, hazelnuts, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar and salt. This is a traditional dish from the Catalan counties Penedès and Garraf, but this tasty cold dish is taken all over Catalonia especially on these springs days when one feels like being in the open air, of course this dish should be taken together with FERRER XATÓ SAUCE (SALSA XATÓ FERRER).
