Patricia Figols i Gorina is the production process team leader at Conserves Ferrer together with the company’s General Manager. Patricia joined the project in 2008 in the Quality Department. She was internally promoted for this new job thanks to her positive working performance, working as the responsible for the whole production process and coordinating a team made up of 20 people. How is the traditional and home-made flavour achieved in Ferrer’s products? Despite the fact of being an industrial process, a careful selection of raw materials is carried out and quality and food security worldwide standards are followed (IFS and BRC). In this way a product with superb organoleptic characteristics is achieved (flavour, texture and odour). How a product free of preservatives or colourings can have a so long expiry date is the question most customers wonder. The answer is easy. All products are subject to thermal treatment (high temperatures) which allow the elimination of possible microbiological pollutants, considering quality and all their properties.
